THREE roads are to be added to Aberdeenshire Council's statutory list of public roads.

Members of the Marr Area Committee, who met this week, agreed to include the 525m footpath from the Inchmarlo Golf Centre car park eastwards, 267m of Candacraig Cottages Road in Strathdon, from the A944 northwards and Bridge Crescent in Torphins, the 75m from the main loop of the Crescent north westwards to the entrance to the playpark.

Local roads manager for Aberdeenshire Council, Mark Skilling, added that the missing section of footpath outside Lavender Grove, Banchory, would be completed during the school holidays.

There will then exist a complete footpath leading from Banchory to Inchmarlo Golf Centre, Inchmarlo Continuing Care and East Mains. T

his was warmly welcomed by local councillors Karen Clark, Linda Clark and Jill Webster.
