Aboyne pair David Anderson and Norman McLeod have won their places in the final of the 2008 Magners Scottish Golf Clubs Championship.
Over 220 Golf Clubs from all over Scotland registered for the event making it one of the biggest and fastest growing amateur championships in the country.

Ninety four players representing 47 clubs played in the regional final at Inchmarlo including competitors from the most northerly golf club in mainland Scotland, Durness Golf Club, who had travelled for five hours each way by car to play in the regional final.

The event was won by the team from Huntly Golf Club.

Scottish European Tour professional and ambassador for the championship, Lloyd Saltman has been keeping an eye on the scores.

He'll be joining these players and those from the other three regional finals on October 6 at The Carrick on Loch Lomond to see the winner sink the final putt.
